The purpose of this event is to expand the knowledge of those who work in the trade and regularly interface with visitors. We hope to inspire a deeper understanding of the diversity of our AVA and the wines produced here by inviting you to our Alexander Valley Masterclass. Our objective is to get everyone on message while adding any history or talking points that make your wine brand or business objectives distinctly yours.
During this event, the group will taste a series of AV wines and learn about the distinct characteristics of each district in the Alexander Valley. The leaders of this event will take the group on a wine-tasting journey from south to north, discussing the geology & soils, weather & microclimates, and topography & elevation of our valley. Upon completion of this program, you will be awarded a certificate confirming that you are an official ‘Alexander Valley Wine Ambassador’.
This is perfect for new staff members at wineries in Alexander Valley, tour guides, drivers, restaurant staff, and hotel concierges.

Join us for an immersive industry masterclass designed exclusively for servers, sommeliers, winery hosts, tour guides, and all consumer-facing hospitality professionals. This session will give you the knowledge and confidence to share what makes Alexander Valley so distinctive—and help you sell more local wines at your restaurants and tasting rooms.
This event also marks the official kickoff to TASTE Alexander Valley, our month-long April campaign celebrating the people, vineyards, and wines of our region. You’ll get a first look at participating wineries, key stories to highlight, and the unique selling points that set Alexander Valley apart.
Here from winemakers from Stonestreet, Bedarra Vineyards, J Rickards Winery, Stuhlmuler Vineyards, and Silver Oak Cellar – while tasting their wines.
We’ll wrap the seminar with a hosted cheese and charcuterie reception.
